First D-I offer for Lafayette QB

by admin

Florida International gave Lafayette rising senior quarterback Nick
Bracewell his first Division I scholarship offer last week, according
to Hornets’ coach
Joey Pearson.

FIU isn’t alone in expressing interest in the 6-foot-3, 210-pounder
with 4.8 speed in the 40-yard dash and the arm to throw a pretty deep
ball. Tulane, Troy, Western Kentucky, Indiana, Central Florida and
Florida Atlantic are among the other Division I schools expressing
interest.

Pearson said Bracewell hasn’t finalized where he will camp over the
summer, but plans to make those decisions in the next week or so.

I have officiated many Hornet football games and am surprised Nick as not gotten more offers from stronger Division 1 schools, but it is still early in the recruiting process.

Best QB to ever come out of Suwannee county, and best to ever play for Mayo. Great kid who has the perfect size and build of a college or pro QB and the arm and skills to go with it. Hope he gets the offers he deserves and goes to the school of his choice.
