Little’s Bucs will take on Gators

Eastside football coach Kent Johnson said on Jan. 30 that his senior
running back John Little was going back and forth on whether to sign a
national letter of intent with Charleston Southern or Grambling State.
After
considering everything, ultimately Little decided to slide on the
Charleston Southern cap on National Signing Day (Feb. 4). And that came with a perk.
The Buccaneers will be opening their season Sept. 5 in Gainesville against the defending national champion Gators.
“I’m
really excited about that,” the 5-foot-10, 163-pound Little said. “I
should be coming down for it. I don’t know if I’m going to start, but I
have been told I won’t be red-shirting.”
Also a track standout,
Little has been told he will play running back, slot receiver and on
special teams. And the possibility exists CSU will come to town with an
all local backfield of Little and former Newberry standout Antwan
“Kelo” Ivey.
